From informal speaker events and online seminars, to in-depth leadership training programs, and mentoring opportunities, AOL offers employees numerous ways to enhance their professional skills and business knowledge. We provide all employees with tools and resources to manage and develop their careers – within a stimulating, positive work environment that's driven by innovative ideas and fresh thinking.

Here's a sampling of the learning and development opportunities available at AOL.

  • AOL University (we call it AOLU) provides classroom and online training programs to help employees enhance their capabilities across a variety of professional, technical and management skills topics. AOLers can also access thousands of books, articles and case studies online with Element K eReferences, Books 24x7, and Harvard Business Review.
  • Leadership Development Programs build on the strengths of our current leaders, and prepare employees to step into more senior positions in the years ahead.
  • Manager Development Programs are designed to increase the capabilities of those who lead people managers and those who supervise individual contributors.
  • Tuition Reimbursement Program pays back 100% of eligible tuition expenses – including tuition, books and certain fees – for continuing your education. Manager's approval is required.
  • Business Ethics Training helps AOLers learn about our Standards of Business Conduct, and promotes a high-integrity culture across the company.
  • Diversity & Inclusion Training delves into the business case for diversity, and helps AOLers identify ways to create a more inclusive environment, and incorporate diversity management practices into daily work.
  • Networking and Mentoring opportunities are available through AOL's Business Resource Groups and Employee Interest Groups. Choose from Amigos at AOL, AOL-ders, APLAWD (AOL People Living and Working with Disabilities,) the Asian Interest Group, Black Employees at AOL, Christians at AOL, Jewish Learning at AOL, Muslims at AOL, OUT at AOL (LGBT), AOL Parents Group, AOL's Military Support Group, or the AOL Women's Network.
  • The Culture Wizard Online Tool helps AOLers work more effectively with colleagues and customers from around the world through better cultural understanding. The self-study program also prepares employees for international business travel, and helps them succeed with international assignments.
  • The Online Career Resource Center gives employees tools to develop and manage their career plans. Employees have immediate access to assessment tools, best practice strategies and customized Career Management workshops.
