Family Focused Site Becomes AOL Living’s Destination for Parenting News, Advice, and More
NEW YORK – May 16, 2008 – AOL announced the launch of a new parenting destination, ParentDish.com, http://www.parentdish.com, which is part of AOL Living, http://living.aol.com. AOL’s site features a mix of videos, blog posts and celebrity contributors who provide informative, accessible, focused and personal content written with a “personal touch” for families with kids of all ages and issues they face today. ParentDish is supported by AOL’s advertising network, Platform-A, which will offer both display advertising as well as content-targeted links provided by Quigo.
At launch, ParentDish.com will feature regular blog posts from parenting expert Rachel Campos-Duffy, as well as parenting news, health news, polls and photo galleries. The site will be a hybrid blog format that has the power of resources and depth of content from AOL Living, and also features community elements and regular updates, such as a blog. In addition, through AOL’s relationship with Warner Bros. Television Group, ParentDish will also feature promotional content from MomLogic.com, the studio’s online parenting destination.
"We are thrilled to bring ParentDish to consumers and expand AOL Living’s role in the parenting category," said Stephanie Dolgins, Senior Vice President, AOL Women’s & Lifestyle Programming. "Our goal is to help parents feel connected to each other and provide a reliable and trustworthy source for parenting information. ParentDish will also give advertisers a forum to reach parents, and the opportunity to develop campaigns for them surrounding exclusive content.”
The AOL Living network, which includes AOL Body (http://body.aol.com ), AOL Food (http://food.aol.com), AOL Home (http://home.aol.com) and StyleList.com (http://stylelist.com) among others, is one of the top three women’s sites in terms of unique visitors. In addition, page views have grown 241% year over year.[1]
